I thought your point on legal and patent was a good addition. I'm generally a believer in faster to market is better than stressing over patent etc. Also lawyers come from a place of protecting you from every possible angle, whereas startups come from a place of dealing with as much as you can now and then taking everything else as it comes. The conflict between this mentalities usually spells incredibly high legal costs for a startup. I've talked to many people who are happy with the legal kits where you can get many of your documents all in a lump package. I would just say don't be stupid, cover yourself on any major legal issue that could absolutely break you, and then if you do meet with a lawyer law out to them very clearly your budget and limitations, otherwise they will assume and just tag it on the bill.
