Writeroom is a fantastic tool – I use it for all my posts.
I gave NV a try some time ago and found it to be very interesting, but I somehow didn’t feel comfortable to store longer information in it. Since then, I am working again with VoodooPad and DevonThink, liking the wiki features very much, but (especially in DT) missing the snappiness NV provides.

It's funny because I've tried all those applications. I really like minimalism on my mac and those applications help me to declutter my brain from unnecessary functions that are often present in other programs,

I took a look at CreaWriter - it has the right idea but the interface made me shudder. It was designed by a developer and not a UI designer

Hey Anthony.

I was glad to see WriteRoom there. I use JDarkRoom most of the time when I do my article writing. It is just like DarkRoom, but in Java, so I think I use it just for the cool 'J' or some small feature I forgot.

Good point about applications that make things much easier to do, in a clean way. It is worth it to use a program with less functions if they are not needed.

I tried out a program called CreaWriter which is like that OmmWriter, but for Windows, and it is pretty cool. I stick to JDarkRoom for now, but yeah, these programs sure make a difference.

Nice going in presenting these.
