yeah i probably should change the URL on my Twitter profile.

btw. I'm also guilty of using the Feedback widget - its actually not for surveys, it provides support via GetSatisfaction for the user.

You know why else it could be confusing...I associate with what it was originally used for, "feedback", so I don't even bother to read the words or even notice the twitter logo.

On top of that I hate those "feedback" widgets, they are just...annoying. I mean who has time to survey a site? - he he!

Incidentally, talking about going to a page and not getting the info I am after. Your twitter page only links to your main site and I had to read your twitter feeds to see you had a blog...luckily I checked your updates ;)

I had the exact same trouble with the exact same blog!

I never even noticed you used it here too.

Heatmapping looks pretty interesting. Might have to look into that.

I use CrazyEgg to generate a heatmap.

To work out the hotspots or where visitors are looking is a bit more complex and requires an expensive setup. I haven't this type of testing on this blog - there is no point. From experience though, I know where users are looking and together with the heatmap I can figure a good layout

Hi Anthony,

I've been wondering about the Follow Me widget... your results are alarming. 9 out of 900 clicks? :O

How do you measure those hotspots?
