Doing Nothing

Just stop doing.

Spend 15 minutes doing absolutely nothing.  No reading, no brainstorming.  No TV or even any music.

There doesn’t need to be a purpose — this really is “nothing”.

But just because you’re doing nothing, it doesn’t mean “nothing” has been achieved.  In just 15 minutes your thoughts will have unravelled, stresses eased and focus regained.

By doing nothing, you’ll end up being more creative, motivated and focused.  Strange, but true.

This seems as though it would definitely help you in many ways: emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically, somehow.

This is also how some people break writers block by just not thinking about it and doing nothing and then ideas start flowing through their head like mad.

Sometimes I need an hour or more of doing nothing after spending too much time working on my computer. And it’s certainly difficult to achieve, but you’re absolutely right, the benefits are tremendous.

I just took my 15 min off , doing that a couple of times a day
mainly to release stress and to get back on focus.

It works for me, and will probably for most of us.

Fantastic advice. Selling my TV/PS3/surround sound was one of the best things I’ve ever done. It’s much easier to not get distracted by TV when you don’t even have one!
