Ok, I’ll admit that about half the designs I do are sliced and coded by someone other than me.  I’m a fast designer, and a slow coder.  But I do know how to convert a design from photoshop to html and I think this a valuable skill that every designer should know.

If you’re a full time web designer, most of your work will involve converting psd files into html and css.  There is currently a huge demand for this type of work.    So you really need to be good at it if you want to compete.
