The 4-Hour Workweek

I hate the title of this book.  It might get people to pick it up in the bookstore, but it actually doesn’t really describe what this book is about.  Much like Crush It, The 4-Hour Workweek is about figuring out what the hell you really want and then going and doing it.

What I like most about this book is Tim’s analytical approach to the tern he coined lifestyle design.   He encourages you to figure out what you want (in my case world nomadic travel), figure out how much it will cost ($2000 for me) and then come up with the steps required to reach this income goal.

This is exactly how I approach my business.  Every app I build, isn’t aimed at being flipped for millions, instead its designed to meet my target monthly income.

If you’re at all interested in how people are living in exotic destinations without a trust fund and no end in sight to their new lifestyle, this is how it happens.  A good read, even if you’re sceptical about this whole lifestyle design fad.
